RESOLUTION OF APPRECI
TO
JEFFBLACKWELL
WHEREAS, Jeff Blackwell has served as Superintendent c
Schools for the past six years, during which time he dedicated hi
positive relationships with parents, staff and community members,
WHEREAS, Jeff has given endlessly of his time and energy for such tasks as
bringing special programs to the students ofthe District, facilitating and updating the School
Board on the business ofthe District and, through his personal in volvement and dedication,
strengthening the ties between the District and the City of San Rafael,• and
WHEREAS, Jeffhas been known throughout not only the District but the community
as well as a problem solver and consensus builder, and his wisdom and compassion as the
leader of San Rafael City Schools will be long remembered, and
WHEREAS, as of June 30, 1997, Jeff Blackwell will relinquish the reins as
Superintendent of San Rafael City Schools and move into a different position, in order to
spend more time with his family.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE/T RESOL VED that the Mayor and City Council of the City
of San Rafael hereby acknowledge their respect and admiration for the contributions Jeff
Blackwell has made to the students, staff and community in his role as Superintendent of
San Rafael City Schools and wish him continued success in his new role in the School
District.
