Resolution authorizing use of Park and Recreation Facility
funds for Albert Park
Lonatese Garden in the amount of $35,000.
WHEREAS, The San Rafael City Council approved an allocation of $10,000
from the Parkland Dedication Fund for the Lonatese Garden at Albert Park, and
WHEREAS, the Lonatese Garden project construction and fundraising is
proceeding successfully with donations of labor, materials and supplies, and
WHEREAS, the Garden Committee needs $35,000 to finish the project in a
timely manner, and
WHEREAS, the City desires to help expedite the project,
Now, therefore, be it resolved that the City Council of the City of San
Rafael does hereby authorize an advance from the Park and Recreation
Facilities Fund of $35,000, $20,000 of which will be repaid within three
years through ongoing fund-raisers held by Gruppo Lonatese and the
Garden Committee.
I, JEANNE M. LEONCINI, Clerk of City of San Rafael, hereby certify that
the foregoing resolution was duly and regularly introduced and adopted
at a regular meeting of the City Council of said City held on the
7th day of JULY ,1997, by the following vote, to wit:
