CITY OF SAN RAFAEL
PRESENTS THIS
RESOLUTION OF APPRECIATION
TO
JEAN HASSER
WHEREAS, Jean Hasser has been employed by the City of San Rafael since March 4, 1981; and,
WHEREAS, Jean has directly developed or managed the preparation of most of the City Council's
planning policy, including the first Recreation Element, the General Plan 2000, the original
and numerous updates of the Housing Element, the Zoning Ordinance, the East San Rafael
Neighborhood Plan, the Shoreline Park Plan, the St. Vincent's/Silviera study, the
Downtown General Plan amendments, and the Montecito/Happy Valley Neighborhood
Plan; and,
WHEREAS, Jean's dedication, expertise and commitment to practical solutions has been key to the
success of numerous implementation projects, including, the Merrydale Overcrossing,
Andersen Drive and the Fair, Isaac project; and,
WHEREAS, Jean's rigorous intellect and unstinting pursuit of excellence have resulted in planning
products of the highest quality; and,
WHEREAS, Jean's production turn -around time was unparalleled and a legend in the Planning
Department; and,
WHEREAS, Jean's analytic skills, integrity and willingness -to -go -the -extra -mile have made her an
esteemed and respected member of the City's management team who will be sorely
missed;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of San Rafael, on behalf of
all its residents, hereby commends Jean Hasser for her years of excellent service to the City of San Rafael
and wishes her all the best of success and happiness in her new position
