RESOLUTION NO. 9753
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF SAN RAFAEL TO FUND A GRANT FOR THE
CONSTRUCTION OF THE HAMILTON SERVICE CENTER IN NOVATO, CA.
BY NEW BEGINNINGS
BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of San Rafael as follows:
WHEREAS,
it is an
objective of the City Council
of San Rafael to create and
provide affordable
housing opportunities for
low and moderate income
households;
and
WHEREAS,
in order
to serve these objectives the
City, desires to assist
in the creation of housing for low and lower income
households; and
WHEREAS,
the City
has established a Housing In -Lieu Fund (the "Fund"); and
WHEREAS,
New Beginnings is conducting a
capital campaign for the
construction
of the
Hamilton Service Center and
has requested a contribution
of $52,354;
and
WHEREAS,
the City
desires to assist the campaign by making a grant in the
amount of
Fifty-two
thousand, three hundred and
fifty-four dollars ($52,354).
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, as follows:
The City Council hereby approves allocating Fifty-two thousand, three
hundred and fifty-four dollars ($52,354) to fund the grant to New Beginnings.
The City Council further authorizes the City Manager or his designee to
disburse the grant using such payment controls as necessary to assure that the
Grant is used only for construction of the Hamilton Service Center, and to take
all necessary actions and execute agreements and other documents required to
implement and administer the Grant.
I, JEANNE M. LEONCINI, City Clerk of the City of San Rafael, hereby certify that
the foregoing resolution was duly and regularly introduced and adopted at a
regular meeting of the City Council held on the 2nd day of DECEMBER ,
1996, by the following vote, to wit:
