A Resolution of San Rafael City Council
amending Resolution No. 8473 and
establishing Parking Meter Rates

WHEREAS, Chapter 5.60 of the San Rafael Municipal Code
entitled Parking Meters as adopted by Ordinance No. 1359 repeals
the parking meter time zone sections referenced in Ordinance No.
1345 and authorizes the City Council to set parking meter rates by
resolution (Section 5.60.060) and;
WHEREAS, the revenue from the current parking meter rate fails
to cover the cost of operations, as detailed in the Finance
Department staff report.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the parking meter rate for
all parking meters in San Rafael is set at sixty minutes of legal
parking for each thirty United States cents (30(,') in various
combinations of coins as accepted by each parking meter up to the
maximum time period permitted by each parking meter; that attendant
parking is set at thirty five United States cents (35(,) and that
monthly parking is set at forty five United States dollars ($45.00)
per month.
