A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF SAN RAFAEL
ENDORSING THE FIRE FLOW MASTER PLAN AND
AUTHORIZING A $500 CONTRIBUTION
TO THE FIRE FLOW STUDY GROUP
WHEREAS, the Fire Flow Study Group has worked with the Marin
County Fire Chiefs Association and the Marin Municipal Water
District to identify and prioritize critical fire flow needs; and
WHEREAS, the final report and recommendations of the study
group have been distributed to all city and town councilmembers and
managers with a request that each agency endorse the recommended
program; and
WHEREAS, in addition to this endorsement, the study group also
seeks a $500 contribution from each city or town in order to hire
a consulting group to examine issues that have been raised in
connection with this program.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the
City of San Rafael endorses the Fire Flow Master Plan.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Council authorizes the
contribution of $500, payable to the Fire Flow Study Group, c/o the
Marin County Fire Chiefs Association, to help fund the costs of
hiring the consultant firm of Don Solem and Associates.
I, JEANNE M. LEONCINI, Clerk of the City of San Rafael, hereby
certify that the foregoing resolution was duly and regularly
introduced and adopted at a regular meeting of the City Council of
said City held on Monday, the sixth day of May, 1996, by the
following vote, to wit:
