CITY OF SAN RAFAEL

TO
I BRUCEFLADABOE
WHEREAS, the City of San Rafael, PG&E, and ReLeaf forrned a partnership to
sponsor the Remove and Replace Program, which is a program developed to remove
young, inappropriate species oftrees from underpowerlines and replant with a species that
will not get into the powerlines; and
WHEREAS, a team of six hard-working young men were hired through the Cana/
Community Alliance to do the tree planting; and
WHEREAS, Bruce Fladaboe donated a shiny late model van to the program so that
the team could be moved from place to place to plant the trees; and
WHEREAS, the van was ready and waiting every Saturday for eight weeks during
which time 50 trees were planted along the streets of San Rafael.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOL VED that the City Council of the City of San
Rafael, on behalf of all of its residents, hereby acknowledges the generosity of Bruce
Fladaboe in donating the van, thus making possible the success of the Remove and
Replace Program, which insures safety as well as reliability of service to those residents.
