A RESOLUTION OF THE SAN RAFAEL CITY COUNCIL
AUTHORIZING THE PURCHASE OF A 1996 CAB AND
CHASSIS FOR THE HAZ MAT JPA RESPONSE UNIT FROM
ISI, INC. FOR $40,604.00.
WHEREAS, the Fire Department obtained a matching grant from
Cal EPA for the replacement of a Haz Mat Response Unit; and
WHEREAS, additional funds were received from other agencies to
match the grant for the Haz Mat Unit; and
WHEREAS, specifications were drawn and bids solicited for a
utility truck body and
WHEREAS, bids were received and opened on Monday, March 4,
1996 and
WHEREAS, ISI Inc. is the lowest responsible bidder.
WHEREAS, it is staff's recommendation that the bid from ISI
Inc. be accepted.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the San Rafael City Council
that staff is hereby authorized to purchase one utility cab and
chassis from ISI Inc. for the amount of $ 40,604.00.
I, JEANNE M. LEONCINI, Clerk of the City of San Rafael, hereby
certify that the foregoing resolution was duly and regularly
introduced and adopted at a regular meeting of the Council of said
City on, MONDAY , the 4th of MARCH
1996, by the following vote, to wit:
AYES: COUNCILMEMBERS: Cohen, Heller, Phillips & Mayor Boro
NOES: COUNCILMEMBERS: None
ABSENT: COUNCILMEMBERS: None
DISQUALIFIED: COUNCILMEMBERS: Zappetini (due to conflict of interest)
