RESOLUTION NO. 9459
CITY OF SAN RAFAEL
PRESENTS THIS
RES01613TION OF dPPRECIIITIGN
TO
MARIN RELEAF
WHEREAS, the San Rafael community came together to describe the
Downtown they desired in Our Vision of Downtown San
Rafael; and
WHEREAS, the community Vision includes beautiful, tree lined streets
that are pleasant to walk; and
WHEREAS, a stalwart group of volunteers declared themselves to be the
organization Downtown Trees, and gathered community
efforts to plant 100 street trees; and
WHEREAS, Marin ReLeaf assisted in the organization of the effort; and
WHEREAS, Sandra Sellinger of Marin ReLeaf gave over 40 hours of effort
to supervising youths in planting trees, directing and
managing volunteers in the community involvement event,
distributing information and gathering volunteers; and drove
a big red truck all over Downtown in endless coordinating
activities.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Mayor and City Council, on
behalf of all its citizens, hereby express sincere appreciation and
gratitude to Marin ReLeaf and Sandra Sellinger for their efforts
in making Our Vision for Downtown San Rafael come alive.
