RESOLUTION NO. 9464
CITY OF SAN RAFAEL
PRESENTS THIS
RESOLUTION OF IIPPRECIdTION
TO
FEDERATION OF SAN RAFAEL
NEIGHBORHOODS
WHEREAS, the San Rafael community came together to describe the
Downtown they desired in Our Vision of Downtown San
Rafael; and
WHEREAS, the community Vision includes beautiful, tree lined streets
that are pleasant to walk; and
WHEREAS, a stalwart group of volunteers declared themselves to be the
organization Downtown Trees, and gathered community
efforts to plant 100 street trees; and
WHEREAS, the Federation of San Rafael Neighborhoods is an active and
valued supporter of the Vision and demonstrate their
community involvement by real action; and
WHEREAS, the Federation was a financial contributor to Downtown Trees,
rallied other organizations to join the effort, and participated
in the labor of planting trees; and
WHEREAS, the Federation is an example of what volunteer organizations
can be.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Mayor and City Council, on
behalf of all its citizens, hereby express sincere appreciation and
gratitude to the Federation of San Rafael Neighborhoods for
their efforts in making Our Vision for Downtown San Rafael
come alive.
