CITY OF SAN RAFAEL
PRESENTS THIS
RESOLUTION OF dPPRECIdTION
M
SAN RAFAEL REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY
WHEREAS, the San Rafael community came together to describe
the Downtown they desired in Our Vision of Downtown
San Rafael; and
WHEREAS, the community Vision includes beautiful, tree lined
streets that are pleasant to walk; and
WHEREAS, a stalwart group of volunteers declared themselves
to be the organization Downtown Trees and gathered
community efforts to plant 100 street trees; and
WHEREAS, the San Rafael Redevelopment Agency has been a model
for public-private cooperation in the support given
to Downtown Trees; and
WHEREAS, the Redevelopment Agency has demonstrated their
understanding of how community spirit is generated;
and
WHEREAS, the Redevelopment Agency Manager, Jake Ours, has
demonstrated his ability to work with and for the
community.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the
City of San Rafael, on behalf of all its residents,
hereby expresses sincere appreciation and gratitude
to the Redevelopment Agency and Jake Ours for their
efforts in making Our Vision for Downtown San Rafael
come alive.
