RESOLUTION NO. 9471
CITY OF SAN RAFAEL
PRESENTS THIS
RESOhUTION OF ILPPRECIdTION
WHEREAS,
TO

the San Rafael community came together to describe the
Downtown they desired in Our Vision of Downtown San
Rafael; and
WHEREAS, the community Vision includes beautiful, tree lined streets
that are pleasant to walk; and
WHEREAS,
WHEREAS,
WHEREAS,
a stalwart group of volunteers declared themselves to be the
o-ganization Downtown Trees, and gathered community
efforts to plant 100 street trees; and
Terra Linda Rotary demonstrated their civic responsibility,
their committment to community spirit and volunteer action
by participating in the tree planting project; and
Terra Linda Rotary brought their shovels and work gloves to
Downtown on the evening of August 24, 1995, and planted
street trees.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Mayor and City Council, on
behalf of all its citizens, hereby express sincere appreciation and
gratitude to Terra Linda Rotary for their efforts in making Our
Vision for Downtown San Rafael come alive.
