RESOLUTION NO. 9476
CITY OF SAN RAFAEL
PRESENTS THIS
RESOUITION DF APPRECIATION
WHEREAS,
WHEREAS,
WHEREAS,
WHEREAS,
WHEREAS,
the San Rafael community came together to describe the
Downtown they desired in Our Vision of Downtown San
Rafael; and
the community Vision includes beautiful, tree lined streets
that are pleasant to walk; and
a stalwart group of volunteers declared themselves to be the
organization Downtown Trees, and gathered community
efforts to plant 100 street trees; and
San Rafael Sunrise Lions Club demonstrated their civic
responsibility, their committment to community spirit and
volunteer action by participating in the tree planting project;
and
San Rafael Sunrise Lions Club brought their shovels and work
gloves to Downtown on the evening of August 24, 1995, and
planted street trees.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Mayor and City Council, on
behalf of all its citizens, hereby express sincere appreciation and
gratitude to San Rafael Sunrise Lions Club for their efforts in
making Our Vision for Downtown San Rafael come alive.
