HomeMy WebLinkAboutCC Resolution 9502 (Goldsman and Robyn Appreciation)RESOLUTION NO. 9502 CITY OF SAN RAFAEL PRESENTS THIS RESOLUTION DF APPRECIATION TO MOORE IACOFANO GOLTSMAN AND ROBYN ANDERS0N WHEREAS, in August 1990, the San Rafael City Council adopted policy RES -9 which stated that a neighborhood plan should be prepared for the Montecito neighborhood, and in 1994 the City Council directed the San Rafael Planning Department to begin work on the plan, and WHEREAS, Robyn Anderson, project manager with Moore Iacofano Goltsman, joined the neighborhood planning effort in March 1995, and WHEREAS, Robyn added insight and expertise to the endeavor, skillfully assisting in devising a process and meeting schedule which met the neighborhood's and City's desire for a short- term neighborhood -directed approach, and WHEREAS, Robyn and her MIG colleagues developed clear, results -oriented ideas for each meeting which ensured maximum participation, and WHEREAS, Robyn's meeting facilitation skills were critical to the successful outcomes of the meetings and the process, and WHEREAS, Robyn brought an optimistic approach suitable for solving logistical problems, a willingness to make the extra effort to ensure success, and a desire to ensure that all were heard, and WHEREAS, on October 25, 1995 the draft Moutecito/Happy Valley Neighborliood Platt was received with enthusiasm by residents in the community, and WHEREAS, on November 20, 1995, the Montecito/Happy Valley Neigltborltood Platt was introduced to the City Council. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Mayor and City Council of the City of San Rafael, on behalf of all its citizens, hereby express sincere appreciation and gratitude to Moore Iacofano Goltsman and to Robyn Anderson for assistance in developing and sustaining a planning process which epitomizes the best in planning and in showing that, indeed, a committed group of people do make a difference in the world.
