A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF SAN RAFAEL AUTHORIZING THE PURCHASE OF
FOUR (4) SEDANS FOR POLICE UNDERCOVER USE
FROM CAPITOL FORD, INC. IN AMOUNT OF $ 6 3 , 3 0 7.5 3
WHEREAS, in accordance with the City's Equipment Replacement Program for
1995-96, specifications were drawn and bids solicited for four new 1996 four -door sedans
to replace four existing undercover vehicles in the Police Department; and
WHEREAS, bids were received and opened on December 13, 1995; and
WHEREAS, the bid of Capitol Ford, Inc., of San Jose, California, was the lowest
responsible bid received; and
WHEREAS, it is staff's recommendation that the bid of Capitol Ford, Inc. be
accepted.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the San Rafael City Council that
staff is hereby authorized to purchase four new 1996 Ford Taurus Sedans from Capitol
Ford, Inc. for the price of $63,307.53 as set forth in their bid dated December 12, 1995.
I, JEANNE M. LEONCINI, Clerk of the City of San Rafael, hereby certify that
the foregoing resolution was duly and regularly introduced and adopted at a regular
meeting of the Council of said City on Monday, the 18`x' day of December, 1995, by the
following vote, to wit:

NOES: COUNCILMEMBERS: None Mayor Boro
