PRESENTSTHIS
RESOLUTION OF APPRECIATION
TO
FIRE CAPTAIN NICHOLAS (NICK) GIUSTI
WHEREAS, Fire Captain Nick Giusti is a local and began his career with the City of San Rafael Fire
Department in July 2002 where he is known as one of the hardest working members of the
agency; and
WHEREAS, based on his skill, knowledge and ability, Nick was promoted to the position of Fire
Engineer in 2005 and Fire Captain in April 2013; and
WHEREAS, Capt. Giusti always strives to deliver kindness and respect to everyone while using
his many talents to make a positive difference in their lives of others; and
WHERAS, Capt. Giusti is known for his legendary customer service and has a reputation with his
colleagues as always going the extra mile to help our citizens; and
WHEREAS, Capt. Giusti has a passion and gift for teaching and has assumed the leadership of
several fire recruit academies where he puts in countless hours both on and off duty fine tuning
methods and best practices to ensure our personnel receive the best training possible; and
WHEREAS, the City is grateful for his valuable assistance with the preparation and transfer of
Engine 52 to its temporary quarters at 519 Fourth Street; and
WHEREAS, Fire Captain Giusti is a terrific role model, coach'and mentor. He willingly delivers
exemplary public service and always puts the needs of others and his crew, above his own. He is
a credit to his family and the fire service and we are proud of his success and accomplishment.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the Mayor and City Council of the City of San Rafael do
hereby extend their congratulations and appreciation to Nick Giusti as Employee of the Quarter
for the 4th quarter of 2016.
