A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN RAFAEL
AMENDING RESOLUTION NO. 9173 PERTAINING TO THE COMPENSATION
AND WORKING CONDITIONS FOR MANAGEMENT AND MID -MANAGEMENT
EMPLOYEES
BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of San Rafael as follows:
WHEREAS, Resolution No. 9173 pertains to the salary and benefits for fiscal
years 94/95 and 95/96 for Management and Mid -Management employees; and
WHEREAS, Resolution No. 9173 provides that in the second year of this
Resolution benefit enhancements within the total cost authorization are possible;
and
WHEREAS, the employees in this Management and Mid -Management unit have
met and by majority vote elected to utilize the allocated dollars to provide for a
sick leave service credit at retirement program; and
WHEREAS, this sick leave credit at retirement program shall apply to all
Management and Mid -Management positions that are eligible to accrue sick leave
(excludes the City Attorney and City Clerk); and
WHEREAS, this sick leave credit at retirement program shall provide that a
Management and/Mid-Management employee who retires from the City of San
Rafael, on or after 07/01/95 and within 120 days of leaving City employment
(excludes deferred retirements), shall receive employment service credit, for
retirement purposes only, for all hours of accrued, unused sick leave (exclusive of
any sick leave hours they are eligible to receive and they elect to receive
compensation for at the time of retirement, pursuant to Section V. A. 1. of
Resolution No. 9173).

foregoing resolution was duly and regularly introduced and adopted at a regular
meeting of the City Council of said City on Mondav, the 17th day of July, 1995, by
the following vote, to wit:
