PRESENTS THIS
RESOUITION OF 11PPRECUITION
TO
Steve Bowman
`WXEREAS, in June, 1993, Our Vision of Downtown San Rafael was
presented to the San Rafael City Council, and
`W`XEREU the San Rafael City Council determined amendments were neec
to mare the San Rafael General Plan and Zoning Ordinance consistent with the Vision, and
%WEREU Steve Bowman has served Downtown as someone interested in
the future economic vitality of Downtown, and
`W"XERE.AS, in August, 1993, Steve was appointed by the San Rafael City
Council to the Downtown Advisor Group charged with translating Our Vision into Genera(PL
policies and Zoning Ordinance regulations, and
IWERE.AS, Steve has knowledge of the needs of the retail community and
shared his knowledge at numerous committee meetings, and
` NE,RE.AS, in May, 1995, Steve and the other members of the Downtown
Advisor Group presented to the City Council recommendations which will allow in Downtown
the type of changes and activity promoted in Our Vision.
NOW,, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Mayor and City Coun
of the City of San Rafael, on behalf of all its citizens, hereby express sincere appreciation and
gratitude to Steve for his commitment to the future of Downtown.
