CITY OF SAN RAFAEL
PRESENTS THIS
RESOUITION OF 11PPRECIdTION
TO
Dirck Brinkerhoff
'TWEREU in June, 1993, Our Vision of Downtown San Rafael was
presented to the San Rafael City Councif, and
`TN`}fERE.AS, the San Rafael City Council determined amendments were needed
to make the San Rafael General Plan and Zoning Ordinance consistent with the Vision, and
`,WEREU Dirck Brinkerhoff has served Downtown as a Vision veteran,
having served on the Downtown Community Plan Committee which wrote Our Vision, and
I[N~ ERE.AS, in August, 1993, Dirck was appointed by the San Rafael City
Council to the Downtown Advisor Group charged with translating Our Vision into Genera[P[an
policies and Zoning Ordinance regulations, and
IWEREU Dirck has considerable knowledge of the real estate community
and of market realities, and has shared that knowfedgegenerousfy, and
44NEREU Dirck has served on numerous subcommittees to work out
spec of the Downtown Advisor Group's recommendations, and
,IWEREAS, in May, 1995, Dirck and the other members of the Downtown
Advisor Group presented to the City Council recommendations which will allow in Downtown
the type of changes and activity promoted in Our Vision.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Mayor and City Council
of the City of San Rafaef, on behalf of aft its citizens, hereby express sincere appreciation and
gratitude to Dirck for his vatuabfe contributions and considerable donation of time and effort, and
continuing commitment to the future of Downtown.
