Carol Dillon
TIEREAS, in 5une, 1993, Our Vision of Downtown San Rafael was
presented to the San Rafael City Council, and
`6WEREAS, the San Rafael City Council determined amendments were needed
to make the San Rafael General Plan and Zoning Ordinance consistent with the Vision, and
'TWEREU Carol Dillon has served Downtown as a neighborhood
representative for the Terra Linda community, and
'TWERE.0 in August, 1993, Carol was appointed by the San Rafael City
Council to the Downtown Advisor Group charged with translating Our Vision into General Plan
policies and Zoning Ordinance regulations, and
RWEREU Carol has valuable observations about Downtown, and
'TWERE.,1S, Carol has served on numerous subcommittees to workout
specks of the Downtown Advisor Group's recommendations, and
HERE.0 in May, 1995, Carol and the other members of the Downtown
Advisor Group presented to the City Council recommendations which will allow in Downtown
the type of changes and activity promoted in Our Vision.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RE,SOL`V'ED that the Mayor and City Council
of the City of San Rafael, on behalf of all its citizens, hereby express sincere appreciation and
gratitude to Carol for her contributions of time and effort, and her continuing interest in the
future of Downtown.
