'PWERAS, in ,dune, 1993, Our Vision of Downtown San Rafael was
presented to the San Rafael City Council, and
'WXERE.0 the San Rafael City Council determined amendments were ne
to make the San Rafael General Plan and Zoning Ordinance consistent with the Vision, and
`PWEREU Phil Green has served Downtown as a local lawyer and mems
of the Board of Directors of the Downtown Business Improvement District, and
WHEREU in august, 1993, Phil was appointed by the San Rafael City
Council to the Downtown advisor Group charged with translating Our Vision into Generals
policies and Zoning Ordinance regulations, and
`WXEREU Phil has contributed kis observations on the legal impficatim
various ideas, as weft as the perspective of a smaff business owner Downtown, and
WEREU Phil has served on numerous subcommittees to work out
specks of the Downtown advisor Group's recommendations, and
`PWERE.0 in May, 1995, Phil and the other members of the Downtowr
Advisor Group presented to the City Council recommendations which wiff alfow, in Downton
the type of changes and activity promoted in Our Vision.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE I7 RESOLVED that the Mayor and City Cot
of the City of San Rafael, on behalf of afl its citizens, hereby eTpress sincere appreciation and
gratitude to Phif for his valuable contributions of time and effort and continuing interest in
future of Downtown.
