'PWEREU in lune, 1993, Our Vision of Downtown San Rafael was
presented to the San Rafael City Council, and
`TWEREU the San Rafael City Council determined amendments were needed
to mare the San Rafael General Plan and Zoning Ordinance consistent with the Vision, and
'WJ-IEREU Cyr Miller has served Downtown as a Vision veteran, having
served on the Downtown Community Plan Committee which wrote Our Vision of Downtown
San Rafael, as well as a member of the Downtown Advisor Group's cousin committee, the
Downtown Vision Committee, and as a San Rafael Planning Commissioner, and
'PWERE.0 "in Agqusi, 1993, Cyr was appointed by the San Rafael City
Council to the Downtown Advisor Group charged with. translating Our Vision into General Plan
policies and Zoning Ordinance regulations, and
`TWEREU Cyr has served as chair when the co-chairs were unable to attend,
carried on the spirit of the Vision, reminded us of the values of community in the vision, and did
not miss one meeting, and
'PWEREU Cyr has served on numerous subcommittees to work out spec
of the Downtown Advisor Group's recommendations, as well as volunteered to present the
group's recommendations to various organizations, and
%WERE.0 in May, 1995, Cyr and the other members of the Downtown
Advisor Group presented to the City Council recommendations which will allow in Downtown
the type of changes and activity promoted in Our Vision.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Mayor and City Council
of the City of San Rafael, on behalf of all its citizens, hereby express sincere appreciation and
gratitude to Cyr for his considerable contribution of time and spirit, and for his continuing
commitment to the future of Downtown.
