RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE EXPENDITURE
OF $2,885.00 FROM UNAPPROPRIATED RESERVES
TO UPGRADE STREET LIGHTING ON SORRENTO WAY
WHEREAS, the residents living on Sorrento Way have expressed
their extreme concern regarding illegal activities occurring adjacent to
Pickleweed Park; and
WHEREAS, the residents have requested that the Council abandon
Sorrento Way to allow the residents greater control over the roadway; and
WHEREAS, the City Council has determined that it would not be in
the best public interest to abandon said roadway; and
WHEREAS, the Council wishes to provide some additional measure of
security for the residents.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council hereby
authorize the expenditure of $2,885.00 to upgrade the street lighting and
additional tree trimming on Sorrento Way, said funds to be appropriated from
Unappropriated Reserves.
I, JEANNE. M. LEONCINI, Clerk of the City of San Rafael, hereby
certify that the foregoing resolution was duly and regularly introduced and
adopted at a regular meeting of the Council of said City on Monday the 15th day of
May, 1995, by the following vote, to wit:
