A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF SAN RAFAEL
IN SUPPORT OF THE EXCELLENT SCHOOLS PROGRAM
WHEREAS, San Rafael city schools rank among the best in
the State of California and in Marin County; and
WHEREAS, the San Rafael Public Education Foundation has
developed the Excellent Schools program, a mutually beneficial
plan to build a partnership between the business community of
San Rafael and the local schools; and
WHEREAS, this program will give the business community
the opportunity to directly improve the quality of the local
schools, as well as enhance the image of their own business,
through a tax-deductible contribution;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of
the City of San Rafael continues to support the Excellent Schools
program and encourages the business community to participate
in this program.
I, JEANNE M. LEONCINI, Clerk of the City of San Rafael,
hereby certify that the foregoing resolution was duly and
regularly introduced and adopted at a regular meeting of the
City Council of said City held on Monday, the nineteenth day
of June, 1995, by the following vote, to wit:
