RESOLUTION OF THE SAN RAFAEL CITY COUNCIL AUTHORIZING THE
PURCHASE OF A MOBILE BREATHING AIR SYSTEM AND THE USE OF
EQUIPMENT REPLACEMENT FUNDS.
WHEREAS, funds were budgeted this year for replacement of a mobile
breathing air system for the Fire Department; and
WHEREAS, specifications were prepared and bids solicited for said
system; and
WHEREAS, bids were received and opened on January 12, 1995, and
WHEREAS, the bid of American Bristol Industries, Inc. was the
lowest responsible bid received; and
WHEREAS, the low bid exceeded the amount budgeted by $17,205.88;
and
WHEREAS, staff recommends that equipment replacement funds could
be used to offset said deficit;
NOW THEREFORE, IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED by the San Rafael City
Council that staff is authorized to purchase a mobile breathing air
system for the Fire Department from American Bristol Industries,
Inc. at the bid price of $47,205.88, and that equipment replacement
funds be utilized to offset the $17,205.88 deficit between the
amount budgeted and the bid price.
I, JEANNE M. LEONCINI, Clerk of the City of San Rafael, hereby
certify that the foregoing resolution was duly and regularly
introduced and adopted at a regular meeting of the Council of said
City on Monday, the 6th of February 1995, by the following vote, to
wit:
AYES: COUNCILMEMBERS: Heller, Zappetini and Mayor Boro
NOES: COUNCILMEMBERS: None
ABSENT: COUNCILMEMBERS: Cohen ORIGINAL
