RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN RAFAEL
APPROPRIATING $5,000 FROM THE DAVIDSON BEQUEST FOR
COORDINATOR FOR THE FRIENDS OF THE SAN RAFAEL PUBLIC LIBRARY
AND AUTHORIZING STAFF TO EXTEND AGREEMENT WITH
COORDINATOR, CAROLINE YOUMANS FOR ONE YEAR
WHEREAS, the Davidson Bequest was a gift to the San Rafael Public Library by
the late Evans Davidson in memory of his sister Della Davidson, which has been used to
enhance and improve the library service for the community; and
WHEREAS, the staff and Library Board of Trustees recommend appropriating
$5,000 of interest from the Davidson Bequest to fund a part-time coordinator to assist the
Board in revitalizing the Friends of the San Rafael Public Library.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of San
Rafael hereby appropriates $5,000 of interest from the Davidson Bequest to fund a
part-time Friends Coordinator, and authorizes staff to extend the current agreement with
Friends Coordinator,Caroline Youmans, for one year.
I, JEANNE M. LEONCINI, City Clerk of the City of San Rafael hereby certify
that the foregoing resolution was duly and regularly introduced and adopted at a Regi
meeting of the City Council of said City held on Monday the Sixth day of
February , 1995, by the folllowing vote to wit:
