CITY OF SAN RAFAEL
PRESENTS THIS
RESOMITION OF APPRECIATION
TO
DON DICKENSON
WHEREAS, the San 9�qfaef Genera[Plan calfs for a St. Vtncent' lSilveira Advisory Committee to
provide specific recommendations for the future of the St. Vincent's and Silveira properties; and
WHEREAS, in March, 1991, the San 9Zqfaef City Councif appointed a 25 member joint City -
County committee to represent the many groups interested in these properties; and
WHEREAS, Don Diclfnson was appointed to represent Marin Conservation League and the
Sierra Cfub; and
WHEREAS, the Committee was charged with studying site constraints and opportunities and
coming up with consensus recommendations for the future of the property; and
WHEREAS, for more than three years and 37 meetings, Don sefffessly devoted many hours of
time learning about and evaluating site constraints and resources; developing a program for and
holding a successful, nationwide Land Use Competition to expfore (and use alternatives for the
properties; and working with members to draft the St. Vincent's/Silveira land use recommendations;
and
WHEREAS, Don personaffy contributed many additionaf hours informing groups of progress
being made, and in bringing back comments to the Advisory Committee..
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the Mayor and City Councif of the City of
San 9�gfaef hereby commends and express its sincere appreciation to you for your assistance in
drafting the Advisory Committee's St. Vincent's/Silveira Genera[ Plan Amendment proposal
