WHEREAS, the San R¢faef General Pfan calfs for a St. Vincent's/Sifveira Advisory Committee to
provide specific recommendations for the future of the St. Vincent's and Silveira properties; and
W H E R E AS, in March, 1991, the San Rpfaef City Council appointed a 25 member joint City -
County committee to represent the many groups interested in these properties; and
WHEREAS, Jeffrey Ehfenbach was appointed to represent the San Rpfael Chamber of Commerce;
and
WHEREAS, the Committee was charged with studying site constraints and opportunities and
coming up with consensus recommendations for the future of the property; and
WHEREAS, for more than three years and 37 meetings, Jeff sefffessfy devoted many hours of time
fearning about and evaluating site constraints and resources; devefoping a program for and holding a
successful, nationwide Land We Competition to explore fand use alternatives for the properties; and
working with members to draft the St. Vincent's/Sifveira land use recommendations; and
WHEREAS, Jeff personaffy contributed many additional hours informing groups of progress
being made, and bringing back comments to the Advisory Committee; and
WHEREAS, Jeff also greatly assisted the Committee's work by presenting the Committee's
proposal at Community Workhops and other meetings, and by writing the Plans Executive
Summary.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the Mayor and City Council of the City of
San R,afaef hereby commends and express its sincere appreciation to you for your assistance in
drafting the ?advisory Committee's St. Vincent's/Silveira General Plan Amendment proposal
