TO
MICHAEL MARO `ISI CH
WHEREAS, the San 9?fffael General Plan calls for a St. Vincent's/SilveiraMvisory Committee to
provide specific recommendations for the future of the St. Vincent's and Silveira properties; and
W H E R E A S, in March, 1991, the San Pqfael City Council appointed a 25 member joint City -
County committee to represent the many groups interested in these properties; and
WHEREAS, Michael Marovich was appointed to represent C70/St. Vincent's; and
WHEREAS, the Committee was charged with studying site constraints and opportunities and
coming up with consensus recommendations for the future of the property; and
WHEREAS, for more than three years and 37 meetings, Mikf se flessly devoted many hours of
time learning about and evaluating site constraints and resources; developing a program for and
hoWing a successful, nationwide Land Use Competition to explore land use alternatives for the
properties; and working with members to draft the St. Vincent's/Silveira land use recommendations;
and
WHEREAS, Milo personally contributed many additional hours informing groups of progress
being made, and bringing back comments to the Advisory Committee; and
WHEREAS, Mikr also greatly assisted the Committee's work, by graciously providing meeting
facilities for the Committee and the Land Use Competition
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the Mayor and City Council of the City of
San Xqfael hereby commends and egress its sincere appreciation to you for your assistance in
drafting the Advisory Committees St. Vincent's/Silveira General Plan Amendment proposal.
