PRESENTS THIS
RESOLUTION OF i1PPREEIRTIGN
GEORGE ROCK .ISE
WHEREAS, the San 9ZOfael General Pian ca!(s for a St. Vincent's/Silveira Advisory Committee to
provide specific recommendations for the future of the St. Vincent's and Sifveira properties; and
WHEREAS, in March, 1991, the San 9Zgfael City Council appointed a 25 member joint City -
County committee to represent the many groups interested in these properties; and
WHEREAS, George XPck ise was appointed to represent the American Institute of Architects;
and
WHEREAS, the Committee was charged with studying site constraints and opportunities and
coming up with consensus recommendations for the future of the property; and
WHEREAS, for mon than three years and 37 meetings, George sefffessfy devoted many hours of
time learning about and evaluating site constraints and resources; developing a program for and
hofd'tng a successful, nationwide Land Use Competition to expfore (and use alternatives for the
properties; and working with members to draft the St. Vincent's/Silveira land use recommendations;
and
WHEREAS, George personaffy contributed many additional hours during the Competition, and
broughtgreat eVertise to the Committee.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the Mayor and City Council of the City of
San Atfael hereby commends and express its sincere appreciation to you for your assistance in
drafting the Advisory Committees St. 'Pineent's/Sifveirtt General Plan Amendment proposal.
