CITY OF SAN RAFAEL
PRESENTS THIS
RESOUITION OF 11PPRECIRTION
TO
BARBARA SALZMAN
WHEREAS, the San 9rfael General Plan calls for a St. Vtncents/Sifveira Advisory Committee to
provide specific recommendations for the future of the St. Vincent's and Silveira properties; and
WHEREAS, in March, 1991, the San ?Rgfaef City Council appointed a 25 member joint City -
County committee to represent the many groups interested in these properties; and
WHEREAS, Barbara Salzman was appointed to represent Marin Audubon Society; and
WHEREAS, the Committee was charged with studying site constraints and opportunities and
coming up with consensus recommendations for the future of the property; and
WHEREAS, for more than three years and 3T meetings, Barbara sepssfy devoted many hours of
time learning about and evaluating site constraints and resources; devefoping a program for and
hording a successful, nationwide Land Use Competition to explore land use alternatives for the
properties; and working with members to draft the St.'Oneents/Silveira land use recommendations;
and
WHEREAS, Barbara personaffy contributed many additional hours informing groups of progress
being made, and bringing batik comments to the :Advisory Committee.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the Mayor and City Council of the City of
San -1kafaef hereby commends and express its sincere appreciation to you for your assistance in
drafting the Advisory Committee's St. Vincent's/Silveira General Plan Amendment propasaf.
