RENEE SILVEIRA
WHEREAS, the San 5ttfael General Plan caQ"s for a St. Vtncent' lSilveira Advisory Committee to
provide specific recommendations for the future of the St. Vincent's and Silveira properties; and
W H E R EAS, in March, 1991, the San Rafael City Council appointed a 25 member joint City -
County committee to represent the many groups interested in these properties; and
WHEREAS, Agnee Silveira was appointed to represent the Silveira family; and
WHEREAS, the Committee was charged with studying site constraints and opportunities and
coming up with consensus recommendations for the future of the property; and
WHEREAS, for mon than three years and 37 meetings, Renee seyressly devoted many hours of
time learning about and evaluating site constraints and resources; developing a program for and
holding a successful, nationwide Land Use Competition to explore land use alternatives for the
properties; and working with members to draft the St. Vincent's/Silveira land use recommendations;
and
WHEREAS, 94nee personally contributed many additional hours informing groups of progress
being made, and bringing back comments to the Advisory Committee.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the Mayor and City Councif of the City of
San Rafael hereby commends and express its sincere appreciation to you for your assistance in
drafting the Advisory Committees St. Vincent's/Silveira General Plan Amendment proposal.
