CITY OF SAN RAFAEL
PRESENTS THIS
RESOUITION OF IIPPRECIdTION
PATRICK WEBB
WHEREAS, the San nfaef General Plan calls for a St. 'Vineent's/Sifveira Advisory Committee to
provide specific recommendations for the future of the St.'Oncent's and Silveira properties; and
W H E R E A S, in March, 1991, the San Rafael City Council appointed a 25 member joint City -
County committee to represent the many groups interested in these properties; and
W H E R E A S, Pat Webb was appointed to represent the San Rafael Parks and Recreation
Commission; and
WHEREAS, the Committee was charged with studying site constraints and opportunities and
coming up with consensus recommendations for the future of the property; and
WHEREAS, for more than three years and 3T meetings, Pat sefflessfy devoted many hours of time
learning about and evaluating site constraints and resources; developing a program for and hong a
successful, nationwide Land We Competition to eVlore land use alternatives for the properties; and
working with members to draft the St. Vincent's/Silveira land use recommendations; and
WHEREAS, Pat personaffy contributed many additional hours informing groups of progress
being made, and bringing back, comments to the Advisory Committee; and
WHEREAS, Pat also assisted the Committees work by presenting the Committee's proposal at
two Community Workshops and other meetings.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the Mayor and City Council of the City of
San Rgfaef hereby commends and express its sincere appreciation to you for your assistance in
drafting the Advisory Committee s St. 'Vineent's/Sifveira General Plan Amendment proposal.
