COMMISSIONER LINDA BELLATORRE
for
Four Years of Distinguished Service
On the Planning Commission
WHEREAS on June 18, 1990, the City Council of the City of San Rafael appointed Linda Bellatorre to
serve a four year term on the Planning Commission of the City of San Rafael; and
WHEREAS Linda Bellatorre worked diligently as a Commissioner, performing her duties with
objectivity, thoroughness, attention to detail and a grass-roots level understanding of the
resident's point of view; and
WHEREAS Linda Bellatorre served as Commission Chair in 1993 and performed this duty with great
courtesy and respect for the public, and helped to defuse hearings on controversial items
with her evenhandedness and wonderful sense of humor, and
WHEREAS during her four years on the Commission Linda Bellatorre participated in the adoption of
many projects critical to the future of the City of San Rafael, including the Hillside Design
Guidelines and the Downtown Vision; and
WHEREAS Linda Bellatorre's term as a Commissioner expired on June 30,1994, and she did not apply for
reappointment; and
WHEREAS the City Council wishes to acknowledge the conscientious manner in which Linda performed
her duties as a Commissioner and to thank her for the many hours of public service spent on
behalf of the City.
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council, on behalf of the residents of the City of San
Rafael, hereby expresses its appreciation to Linda Bellatorre for her outstanding service as a Planning
Commissioner and the contributions she made during her term of office which have improved the quality of
life for the current and future residents of San Rafael.
The foregoing Resolution was adopted at the regular meeting of the City of San Rafael City Council held on
the 1st day of August, 1994.
