A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF SAN RAFAEL CITY
COUNCIL REJECTING ALL BIDS FOR POLICE
RADIO SYSTEM MAINTENANCE CONTRACT
WHEREAS, the 1993/94 Police Department budget authorized funds
for a maintenance contract for the police department radio system; and
WHEREAS, the police department has been purchasing these
services on a month to month basis with one vendor for the past two years;
and
WHEREAS, specifications were developed and bids solicited for said
maintenance contract; and
WHEREAS, only one bid was received by the required date, January
4, 1994 for said police radio system maintenance; and
WHEREAS, after reviewing the bid, police department staff
recommended the bid be rejected because of the current problems
being worked on by the manufacturer and the fact that only one bid was
received.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the San Rafael City Council
that the one bid received for maintenance of the police department radio
system is hereby rejected and upon completion of the current revisions
and modifications to the radio system by the manufacturer, staff will again
pursue the acquisition of a maintenance contract for servicing the police
department radio system.

certify that the foregoing resolution was duly introduced and adopted at a
regular meeting of the Council of the City of San Rafael on Monday, the
7th day of March, 1994, by the following vote:

NOES: COUNCILMEMBERS: None Mayor Boro
