RESOLUTION NO. 9121
RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE DESTRUCTION
OF CERTAIN PUBLIC WORKS RECORDS
WHEREAS, the Public Works Department has limited storage
WHEREAS, the Public Works Department has maintained
certain personnel records consisting mostly of duplicates of the originals
maintained by the Personnel Department; and
WHEREAS, California Government Code Section 34090, with
limited exceptions, authorizes the Head of a Department, with the approval
of the Legislative Body, by Resolution, and written consent of the City
Attorney, to destroy any City record, document, instrument, book, or paper
under his charge without making a copy thereof if the same is no longer
required and more than 2 years old.
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Director of Public
Works is authorized to destroy all personnel records kept in the Public
Works Department, which are no longer needed, and which are more than
2 years old.
I, JEANNE. M. LEONCINI, Clerk of the City of San Rafael, hereby
certify that the foregoing resolution was duly and regularly introduced and
adopted at a regular meeting of the Council of said City on Monday, the 4th
day of April, 1994, by the following vote, to wit:
