A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
SAN RAFAEL ISSUING A CERTIFICATE OF CONVENIENCE
AND NECESSITY TO MILL VALLEY TAXIS INC.
DBA BELAIRE CAB COMPANY
WHEREAS, Belaire Cab Company, submitted an application
for the transfer of their certificate of convenience to a new owner
pursuant to the requirements of San Rafael Municipal Code 10.60,
Vehicles for Hire; and
WHEREAS, City staff and the City Council reviewed all
documents submitted therein; and
WHEREAS, a hearing regarding said application was held on
May 2, 1994, at which time public testimony was heard; and
WHEREAS, the City Council finds that the propsed
equipment would provide acceptable service; and
WHEREAS, Belaire Cab Company has agreed to set rates in
accordance with City Resolution No. 6286; and
WHEREAS, the City Council finds that the change of
ownership would not have an adverse effect on traffic or parking;
and
WHEREAS, the City Council finds that the demands of
public convenience require such taxi service.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the San Rafael City
Council that a Certificate of Convenience and Necessity be
transferred to the new owner of Belaire Cab Company (Gregory
McCord) to conduct a taxi service in the City of San Rafael.
I, JEANNE M. LEONCINI, Clerk of the City of San Rafael,
California HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing Resolution was duly
and regularly introduced and adopted at a Reqular meeting of the
Council of said City held on the 2nd day of May 1994,
by the following vote, to -wit:
