TOM ROTHENBERGER
WBBRBAS, Tom has been employed in the Parks Division since March 1, 1978, starting
as Assistant Parks Supervisor and promo ted to Assistant Parks Superin tenden t
on July 1, 1980;
WHEREAS, Tom consistently s tri ves to make the Parks Division the best it can be by
seeking better ways to do things and helping employees in his division to
improve their job performance; and
WHEREAS, Tom is known for his willingness to not only listen to suggestions for
change, but also to implement those suggestions which are deemed
appropri a te;
WHEREAS, Tom's "extra measure" efforts are important contributions to the City, as
evidenced by his having developed a water usage database to prevent
excessive charges, and his obtaining a $6,400 grant from MMWD in 1993 to
convert four park sites to reclaimed water; and
WHEREAS, Tom's demonstrated pride in the work of the Parks Division serves as a
source of inspiration to fellow employees.
NOW, TBEREIVRE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Mayor and City Council of the City of San Rafael
hereby designate Tom Rothenberger as the Employee of the Quarter for the period ending
March 31, 1994 and express sincere appreciation to Tom for his dedication and outstanding
service to the Cit of San Rafael and the community.
