A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF SAN RAFAEL
IN SUPPORT OF THE SAN RAFAEL PUBLIC SCHOOLS EMERGENCY FUND
WHEREAS, San Rafael city schools rank among the best in
the State of California and in Marin County; and
WHEREAS, the recent defeat of a local funding measure has
jeopardized the continuation of the very programs that make
these schools outstanding; and
WHEREAS, the San Rafael Public Education Foundation and
the K-8, PTA organizations of the San Rafael city schools have
developed the San Rafael Public Schools Emergency Fund to raise
funds to ensure the continuation of outstanding educational
programs;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of
the City of San Rafael supports the San Rafael Public Schools
Emergency Fund and urges the residents of San Rafael to join
in supporting this effort.
I, JEANNE M. LEONCINI, Clerk of the City of San Rafael,
hereby certify that the foregoing resolution was duly and
regularly introduced and adopted at a regular meeting of the
City Council of said City held on Monday, the twentieth day
of June, 1994, by the following vote, to wit:
