A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF SAN RAFAEL APPROPRIATING $17,123 FROM UN-
APPROPRIATED RESERVES AND AUTHORIZING EX-
PENDITURE OF SAME TO FUND THE CITY' S SHARE
OF THE NPDES PROGRAM
WHEREAS, Section 402 of the Federal Clean Water Act of 1972
established the National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System; and
WHEREAS, the Federal EPA has delegated the administration of this
program to the State Water Resources Control Board; and
WHEREAS, State Regional Boards adopted Local Basin Plans to bring
California into compliance with the Federal regulations; and
WHEREAS, this Regional Board has imposed on the County of Marin
and its Cities a mandate to implement this program; and
WHEREAS, each jurisdiction emitting stormwater must pay its pro
rata share to implement this program, and
WHEREAS, the share for the City of San Rafael is $17,123.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Council hereby
appropriates from unappropriated reserves the amount of $17,123 and
authorizes the expenditure of same to fund the proportional share of NPDES
Program.
I, JEANNE. M. LEONCINI, Clerk of the City of San Rafael, hereby
certify that the foregoing resolution was duly and regularly introduced and
adopted at a regular meeting of the Council of said City on Monday, the 7th day of
February, 1994, by the following vote, to wit:
