A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF SAN RAFAEL REJECTING ALL BIDS FOR POLICE
COMPUTER SERVICE CONTRACT
WHEREAS, the 1993-94 Police Department Budget authorized
funds for a computer system maintenance contract; and
WHEREAS, the Police Department has been purchasing these
services on a month to month basis with one vendor for the past two years;

WHEREAS, specifications were drawn and bids solicited for said
police computer service contract; and
WHEREAS, two bids were received and opened on January 13,
1994 for said police computer service contract; and
WHEREAS, after reviewing both bids, Police Department staff
recommended the two bids be rejected because of the excessive amounts
bid, exceptions to the specifications taken by the low bidder, and the fact
that there were only two bidders.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the San Rafael City
Council that the bids received for the Police computer service contract are
hereby rejected and upon completion of the revisions to the bidding
requirements in the City Charter as mandated by the voters in November
1993, staff will again pursue the acquisition of a contract for Police
computer services.
I, JEANNE. M. LEONCINI, Clerk of the City of San Rafael, hereby
certify that the foregoing resolution was duly and regularly introduced and
adopted at a regular meeting of the Council of said City on Tuesday, the
22nd day of February, 1994, by the following vote, to wit:
AYES: COUNCILMEMBERS: Heller, Thayer, Zappetini & Mayor Boro
NOES: COUNCILMEMBERS: None
