A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING $53,000 EXPENDITURE FROM THE PARK &
RECREATION FACILITIES FUND FOR SUN VALLEY PARK
RENOVATION PROJECT
WHEREAS, the City of San Rafael owns and maintains city parks throughout the
community; and
WHEREAS, the Sun Valley Neighborhood has organized improvement
committees to help design and fundraise for the park improvement projects; and
WHEREAS, the Sun Valley Neighborhood received $5,000 from Marin
Community Foundation, raised over $20,000 in donations of labor and materials; and
WHEREAS, the Park and Recreation Commission recommends the City consider
allocating funds from the Park and Recreation Facilities Fund to match community
donations.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the San Rafael City Council hereby
approves an allocation of $53,000 towards the completion of the Sun Valley Park
Renovation Project.

foregoing Resolution was duly and regularly introduced and adopted at a Regular
meeting of the City Council of the City of San Rafael on Mondav , the 4th
day of October ,1993, by the following vote, to wit:
