CITY OF SAN RAFAEL
PRESENTS THIS
RESUhUTION OF 11PPRECIdTION
TO
ECUMENICAL ASSOCIATION FOR HOUSING
WHEREAS, since 1968, Ecumenical Association for Housing
(EAH) has built over 1,200 units of affordable
housing in the San Francisco Bay Area; and
WHEREAS, EAH has brought 29 developments to completion,
providing homes for low to moderate income families,
seniors and the disabled; and
WHEREAS, since January of 1986, when the City began keeping
detailed records, nearly 800 affordable housing
units have been constructed in the City of San
Rafael, EAH having played a role in the construction
of 92 of those units; and
WHEREAS, the City and EAH have worked together for many
years to bring affordable housing to the people
of San Rafael, most recently in the construction
of the 60 -unit Centertown project.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the
City of San Rafael, on behalf of all its residents,
hereby congratulates the Ecumenical Association
for Housing on its 25th anniversary; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Council commends EAH
for the spirit of cooperation that has existed
between EAH and the City of San Rafael in the
provision of high quality and truly affordable
housing for our residents.
