A RESOLUTION OF THE SAN RAFAEL CITY COUNCIL AUTHORIZING THE
PURCHASE OF TWO NEW 1993 KAWASAKI POLICE MOTORCYCLES FROM HAYWARD
KAWASAKI AND TWO NEW 1994 FORD TAURUS SEDANS FROM FOLSOM LAKE FORD
WHEREAS, in accordance with the City's Equipment
Replacement Program for 1993 - 1994, specifications were drawn and
bids solicited for two new Kawasaki police motorcycles and two new
four door sedans to replace existing vehicles in the Police and
Fire Departments; and
WHEREAS, bids were received and opened for the
motorcycles on October 19, 1993 and for the sedans on November 2,
1993; and
WHEREAS, the bid of Hayward Kawasaki for the motorcycles
and the bid of Folsom Lake Ford for the sedans were the lowest
responsible bids received; and
WHEREAS, it is staff's recommendation that the bids of
Hayward Kawasaki and Folsom Lake Ford be accepted.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the San Rafael City
Council that staff is hereby authorized to purchase two new 1993
Kawasaki police motorcycles from Hayward Kawasaki for the price of
$14,121.61 and two new 1994 Ford Taurus sedans from Folsom Lake
Ford for the price of $28,944.63 as set forth in their respective
bids.
I, JEANNE M. LEONCINI, Clerk of the City of San Rafael,
hereby certify that the foregoing resolution was duly and regularly
introduced and adopted at a regular meeting of the Council of said
City on Monday, the 15th day of November, 1993, by the following
vote, to wit:
