PRESENTS THIS
RESOUITION OF 11PPRECIRTION
WHEREAS,
TO
TONY DIOSI
the City Council and the Redevelopment Agency of the City of San Rafael
determined to embark on a collaborative, community based, consensus planning
effort to determine the future of Downtown San Rafael; and
WHEREAS, the Redevelopment Agency appointed Tony Diosi to se►-ve as a member of the
Downtown Community Plan Committee; and
WHEREAS, the Committee met from 1991 to 1993 to fo►•muulate Our Vision of Downtown San
Rafael which reflects the dreams and desires of the enti►•e community; and
WHEREAS, Tony reflected the interests of downtown property owners, restatnantpatrons and
downtown investors on the Downtown Community Plan Committee; and
WHEREAS,

NOW,
Tony interacted with many of the Plan Sponsor groups, including the the
Business Improvement District and the Builders Exchange, and kept them
informed of the progress made on the Plan; and
Tony provided a willing volunteer spirit, ena►•mous amounts of data, humor, a
flamingo, hours of effort throughout our two years of work, and assisted
t►•emendously in info►•ming the community about Our Vision for Downtown San
Rafael.
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Mayor and City Council of the City of
San Rafael, on behalf of all its citizens, hereby express since►•e appreciation and
g►•atitude to Tony Diosi for- his dedicated and devoted set -vice as a
DOWNTOWN COMMUNITY PLAN COMMITTEE MEMBER and the
cont►•ibutions he has made to creating a Vision fa• Downtown San Rafael which
will improve the quality of life fo►• current and future residents of San Rafael.
