PRESENTS THIS
RE50hUTION OF 11PPREEIRTION
TO
LASSA FRANK
WHEREAS,
the City Council and the Redevelopment Agency of the City of San Rafael
determined to embark on a collaborative, community baset4 consensus planning
effort to determine the future of Downtown San Rafael; and
WHEREAS,
the Redevelopment Agency appointed Lassa Frank to serve as a member of the
Downtown Community Plan Committee; and
WHEREAS,
the Committee met from 1991 to 1993 to formulate Our Vision of Downtown ,San
Rafael which reflects the dreams and desires of the entire community; and
WHEREAS,
Lassa reflected the interests of downtown business owners and tenants on the
Downtown Community Plan Committee; and
WHEREAS,
Lassa interacted with many of the Plan Sponsor groups, including the Ger stle
Park Neighborhood Association and the North San Rafael Coalition of Residents,
and kept them informed of the progress made on the Plan; and
WHEREAS,
Lassa provided a businessman's perspective, hours of effort throughout our two
yeas of work, and assisted tremendously in informing the community about Our
Vision for Downtown San Rafael.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Mayor and City Council of the City of
San Rafael, on behalf of all its citizens, hereby express sincere appreciation and
gratitude to Lassa Frank for his dedicated and devoted service as a
DOWNTOWN COMMUNITY PLAN COMMITTEE MEMBER and the
contributions he has made to creating a Vision for Downtown San Rafael which
will improve the quality of life for current and fixture residents of San Rafael.
