CITY OF SAN RAFAEL
PRESENTS THIS
RESOUITION OF APPRECIATION
S TAN KUB U
WHEREAS, the City Council and the Redevelopment Agency of the City of San Rafael
determined to embark on a collaborative, community based consensus planning
effort to determine the future of Downtown San Rafael; and
WHEREAS,
the Redevelopment Agency appointed Stan Kubu to serve as a member of the
Downtown Community Plan Committee; and
WHEREAS,
the Committee met from 1991 to 1993 to formulate Our Vision of Downtown San
Ra ael which reflects the dreams and desires of the entire community; and
WHEREAS,
Stan reflected the interests of retail merchants, independent business people,
commuters and children on the Downtown Community Plan Committee; and
WHEREAS,
Stan interacted with many of the Plan Sponsor groups, including the Business
Improvement District, and kept them informed of the progress made on the Plan;
and

WHEREAS, Stan provided reasoned approaches, years of experience and wide knowledge
about Downtown business issues, hours of effort throughout out- two years of
work, and assisted tremendously in informing the community about Our Vision for
Downtown San Rafael.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Mayor and City Council of the City of
San Rafael, on behalf of all its citizens, hereby express sincere appreciation and
gratitude to Stan Kubu for his dedicated and devoted set -vice as a
DOWNTOWN COMMUNITY PLAN COMMITTEE MEMBER and the
contributions he has made to cleating a Vision for Downtown San Rafael which
will improve the quality of life for current and future residents of San Rafael.
