RESOLUTION OF 11PPREEIRTION
TO
GINA PANDANI-MAT THEWS
WHEREAS, the City Council and the Redevelopment Agency of the City of San Rafael
determined to embark on a collaborative, community based, consensus planning
effort to determine the fitture of Downtown San Rafael; and
WHEREAS, the Redevelopment Agency appointed Gina Pandani-Matthews to serve as a
member of the Downtown Community Plan Committee; and
WHEREAS, the Committee met from 1991 to 1993 to formulate Our Vision of Downtown San
Rafael which reflects the dreams and desires of the entire community; and
WHEREAS, Gina reflected the interests of parents, children, theater and other cultural
organizations on the Downtown Community Plan Committee; and
WHEREAS, Gina interacted with many of the Plan Sponsor groups, including the Cultural
Affairs Commission, and kept them informed of the progress made on the Plan;
and
WHEREAS, Gina provided insightful suggestions, hours of effort throughout our two years of
work, and assisted tremendously in informing the community about Our Vision for
Downtown San Rafael.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Mayor and City Council of the City of
San Rafael, on behalf of all its citizens, hereby express sincere appreciation and
gratitude to Gina Pandani-Matthews for her dedicated and devoted service as a
DOWNTOWN COMMUNITY PLAN COMMITTEE MEMBER and the
contributions she has made to creating a Vision for Downtown San Rafael which
will improve the quality of life for current and fitture residents of San Rafael.
