MICHAEL DOYLE
WHEREAS,
the City Council and the Redevelopment Agency of the City of San Rafael
determined to embark on a collaborative, community based, consensus building
effort to determine the future of Downtown San Rafael; and,
WHEREAS,
Michael Doyle was retained by the City Council and Redevelopment Agency
as lead consultant to advise the City and the Downtown Plan Committee; and
WHEREAS,
the Committee met from 1991 to 1993 to formulate Our Vision of Downtown
San Rael which reflects the dreams and desires of the entire community; and
WHEREAS,
Michael Doyle effectively developed a process and sequence of tasks that
encouraged stakeholders to recognize and articulate their feelings and
aspirations for Downtown with constructive insight; 'and
WHEREAS,
Michael Doyle skillfully applied his outstanding professional skills as
a facilitator to help the Committee reach a consensus of values and strategies;
and
WHEREAS,
Michael Doyle worked his magic with great good humor, genuine caring
and commitment to community values that far exceeded any contractual
obligation.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Mayor and City Council of the City of
San Rafael, on behalf of all its citizens, hereby express our sincere appreciation
and gratitude to Michael Doyle for his leadership and expertise which have
contribute immeasurably to creating Our vision of Downtown San Rafael
which will improve the quality of life for current and future residents of San
Rafael.
