A RESOLUTION OF THE SAN RAFAEL CITY COUNCIL AUTHORIZING
THE CITY MANAGER TO CONTRACT FROM JULY 1, 1993 THROUGH
JUNE 30, 1994 FOR PROPERTY INSURANCE WITH HOME INSURANCE
COMPANY AND FIREMAN'S FUND INSURANCE COMPANY THROUGH THE
CALIFORNIA JOINT POWERS RISK MANAGEMENT AUTHORITY AND FOR
EXCESS WORKERS' COMPENSATION INSURANCE WITH NATIONAL
UNION THROUGH JOHNSON & HIGGINS
WHEREAS, the City of San Rafael has property insurance and
excess workers' compensation insurance with an expiration date of
June 30, 1993; and
WHEREAS, the City of San Rafael can purchase excess property
insurance with Home Insurance Company and Fireman's Fund Insurance
Company through the California Joint Powers Risk Management
Authority under acceptable terms; and
WHEREAS, the City of San Rafael has received a favorable quote
from Johnson and Higgins for excess workers' compensation insurance
through National Union.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Manager is
authorized to contract through June 30, 1994 with Home Insurance
Company and Fireman's Fund Insurance Company through the California
Joint Powers Risk Management Authority for property insurance and
with National Union through Johnson & Higgins for excess workers'
compensation insurance.
I, JEANNE M. LEONCINI, Clerk of the City of San Rafael, hereby
certify that the foregoing resolution was duly and regularly
introduced and adopted at a regular meeting of the Council of said
City the 6th day of Julv , 1993 by the following vote, to wit:
AYES: COUNCILMEMBERS: Breiner, Cohen, Thayer & Mayor Boro
NOES: COUNCILMEMBERS: None
ABSENT: COUNCILMEMBERS: Shippey
